We are creatures of the earth. The air and space of the natural world nurture us and keep us sane. I have lived in Marin County for 44 years; have 3 grown children with spouses and 6 grandchildren, also have a dog and a horse. For all those years I have been caretaker of the land and recorder of the beauty.

I want to make art that conveys the sense of astonishment I feel when I come upon a particular view or when I see in a new way an old familiar vista. The days, seasons and years all make their mark on our magical environment and I record them using colors of the sunlight on the hills and the deep shadows of early morning or late afternoon.

I want to remind people to break out of their concrete jungle, their walled, confined paradigm to see again from where we all come. We evolved from this earth and we must respect all that kept us healthy and nurtured.
